Welcome to the home page of the Ultra-cold Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) Physics Laboratory at the College of William and Mary.

Recent news

The laboratory investigates physical phenomena in cold and ultra-cold matter. We focus our research on:

Ultra-cold quantum gases .

-  Precision measurements of fundamental interactions .

- Precision interferometry for the inertial sensing of forces, accelerations, rotations, and gradients.

The small glowing orange-ish cloud is a sample of
rubidium atoms at about 100 micro-Kelvin.

We are always looking for motivated undergraduate and Ph. D. graduate students to do research in  ultra-cold AMO physics. If you are interested in our research, please contact Prof. Seth Aubin.
